Technique: This piece showcases Captain’s growing skill in spatial awareness and composition. He used fine-tipped markers and crayons to draw the intricate details of the sheep and the fence, ensuring each element has its own personality. The lush green hills and the deep blue sky are rendered with a layered watercolor wash, creating a vibrant “textured” look. He also used a wax-resist technique for the clouds, allowing the white paper to shine through the blue paint.
