Tucked between rolling green hills, a friendly pink sun peeks out to say hello, while a crystal-blue waterfall splashes into a hidden pond. It’s a world where even the biggest creatures live in colorful harmony.
Technique: This piece is a fantastic example of landscape layering and texture. Captain used a vibrant watercolor wash for the hills and sky, allowing the greens to bleed into one another to create a sense of dense foliage. The dinosaur is rendered with bold marker gradients, showcasing a great transition from pink to orange. A standout feature is the vertical blue and white lines used to create the waterfall, giving it a sense of rushing movement. The fine details—like the “spikes” on the trees and the colorful birds in the orange sunset sky—show a high level of focus and storytelling.
