Technique: This piece is a fantastic example of bold color theory and architectural play. Captain used vibrant watercolor washes to create the lush green background and the warm, glowing beach, allowing the colors to blend naturally to mimic a tropical atmosphere. He then used saturated gouache or marker for the purple house and the palm tree, creating a high-impact focal point. A standout feature is the detailed texture on the palm trunk and the thatched-style roof, which adds a wonderful rhythmic pattern to the composition.
