The Giant Pink Whale & Submarine Adventure – Kids Art by Captain
In “The Giant Pink Whale & Submarine Adventure,” created by Captain at age 5, we are taken deep beneath the waves to a world of wonder. A massive, friendly pink whale glides gracefully over a small submarine embarking on a secret mission. The ocean is bustling with life, featuring a swimming green sea turtle, a smiling pufferfish, and a clever octopus hiding among the coral reefs. It’s a story of peaceful coexistence between man-made machines and the giants of the deep sea.
Technique: This artwork is a wonderful example of tonal layering and detail. Captain used a purple and pink watercolor wash for the whale’s body, giving it a soft, organic texture that contrasts with the bold orange and black markers used for the submarine. The deep sea background is created with a rich blue watercolor wash, accented by red and white stippling to represent floating plankton or underwater bubbles. The intricate details of the coral and the expressive faces of the sea creatures show a fantastic level of focus and storytelling.
A quick note from Captain's dad 👋
Thanks for being here. My son Captain is 6, and this whole site exists because his drawings were too good to keep hidden in a folder at home.
When you download a piece, you can print it, frame it, use it as wallpaper, or put it on mugs, shirts, cards — whatever makes you smile.
