Technique: This artwork is a brilliant example of organic watercolor blending and layering. Captain used a wet-on-wet technique to create the stunning, multi-tonal background, where deep blues and bright greens bleed together to mimic dappled forest light. He then used bold marker strokes for the tree’s structure and the individual leaves, giving the piece a strong, illustrative feel. The addition of small, detailed elements like the chrysalises and the sun shows a high level of observation and storytelling for a young artist.
